FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: motor of proposed motor0in-wheel is end induction machine. Stator secured on vehicle chassis is made in form of ring of magnetic tape laminations arranged coaxially to axle. Ring is made in form of disk rotor made of magnetic material, secured on axle for rotation. End face surface of disk is pointed to end face surface of stator and axial clearance between the surfaces is set minimum. Motor-in-wheel includes control unit and reversible voltage and frequency converter with built-in molecular energy accumulator. Disk should be preferably made with built-in squirrel cage, and its surface pointed to stator should be provided with coating made of materials featuring high electric conductivity.
