FIELD: processes and equipment for restoring worn shafts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of working surface of rotor; making additional part for restoring; fitting it onto worn journal of rotor for subsequent working; subjecting to working only worn journals of rotor; making additional part for restoring of shape memory material, for example of titanium nickelide; providing inner diameter of additional restoration part according to press fit to preliminarily worked worn surface of rotor of turbocompressor; after mounting additional restoration part onto worn journal of rotor, heating assembly until temperature of reverse martensite conversion. EFFECT: elimination of necessity for working the whole surface of shaft, enhanced quality of restored portion, lowered labor consumption. 2 cl, 2 dwg
