FIELD: restoration of worn parts, namely retainers of sliding bearing assemblies.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mechanically working inner surface of bushing; applying metallic coating onto its outer surface. Thickness of applied coating is equal to difference half between bushing inner diameter after working it and its designed inner diameter. Bushing is placed onto mandrel arranged in yoke made of material with shape memory effect. Outer diameter of mandrel is equal to designed inner diameter of bushing. The last is squeezed by means of yoke due to heating bushing till martensite conversion temperature.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, lowered labor and energy consumption of restoration process.
