FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method to obtain established line of embryonic germ (EG) cells in poultry (chickens, in particular) includes the following stages: cultivation of premordial germ cells (PGC) isolated out of poultry embryonic gonad, in medium, supplemented with additional cellular growth factor and that of inhibition of differentiation to obtain EG cells' colonies; cultivation of EG cells in medium due to applying nourishing layer till the development of EG cells' colonies; and isolation and subcultivation of EG cells in medium at obtaining established EG cell line. Either somatic or sexual chimeras are obtained due to injecting cell line into ovum. Foreign gene is transfected into cell line due to electroporation or liposome. The innovation enables to elaborate the method for breeding transgenic animals. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 19 cl, 12 dwg
