FIELD: medicinal virology. SUBSTANCE: vaccine strain B/60/Johannesburg/99/50 is reassortant obtained by breeding epidemic virus B/Johannesburg/05/99 with cold-adapted temperature-sensitive virus B/USSR/60/69. The strain B/60/Johannesburg/99/50 multiplies actively in developing chicken embryos at optimal temperature 32- 33 C and characterized by temperature-sensitivity and cold-adaptation. Reassortant inherited two genes from epidemic virus encoding surface proteins (hemagglutinin and neuraminidase) and six genes encoding non- glycosylated proteins from attenuation donor. The strain can be used for adult and children 3-14 years age in intranasal administration and it satisfies immunogenicity indices. EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of strain. 3 tbl, 2 ex
