FIELD: electrical engineering; high-voltage power generating systems, mainly switch-mode ones. SUBSTANCE: method includes setting generator rotor in rotary motion, accumulating electric charge on rotor periphery, taking accumulated electric charge off to generator stator, and its transfer to external load. Metal disk with convex effective surface is used as generator rotor. Electric charge is accumulated in portions within discrete areas on rotor periphery having enhanced gradient of electric field in accumulated electric charge area, accumulated portions of electric charge are periodically taken off to stator, accumulated in condenser, and electric charge accumulated in condenser is periodically discharged in switch mode through inductive converter so that high-voltage dc or ac pulses are produced at converter output for external loads.
