FIELD: medicine, colorectal surgery. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out clinico-instrumental testing of a patient. Moreover, it is necessary to conduct defecography, anorectal manometry and sphincterometry. Anemnesis and time of stimulation passage along pudendal nerve should be studied. At availability of, at least, one symptom indicating the chance for development of anal sphincter failure one should restrict surgical interference due to dissecting anal fissure. Then it is necessary to apply 0.3%-nitroglycerin ointment onto perianal skin round the anus. This procedure should be repeated in 12 h for 2-8 wk. The present method enables to prevent disease relapse and development of anal sphincter failure after surgical interference. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 1 ex
