FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing mass comprising curd, butter and sugary substance; forming resultant mixture by feeding it under pressure into forming device; introducing filler into mass; dividing mass into portions so that ends of portion are enclosed with mass; coating each portion. Forming of mass and feeding of mass and filler are carried out from top to bottom. Before coating, mass is divided into portions by means of diaphragm- type knife so as to enclose filler piece ends with mass. Curd mass is fed at speed of 900-3,050 g/min and filler is fed at speed of 100-1,500 g/min. Powdered sugar is used as sugary substance. Final product is free from sugar granules. EFFECT: increased quality of sweetened cottage cheese by improved organoleptical properties due to homogeneous distribution of mass in longitudinal and transverse direction and increased efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex
