FIELD: combination type mechanisms with complex motion of output links used for performing additional operations at maintaining machines, machine tools, presses and other equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes combination mechanism having transfer mechanism with driving and outlet links and actuating mechanism with outlet links and jaws for clamping article; and drive unit. Transfer mechanism includes stationary cam; outlet link of said mechanism is joined with driving link and connected with cam and it is driving link of actuating mechanism. Movable joining of driving and outlet links of transfer mechanism is realized by means at least of two prisms rigidly secured to one link; each prism has through lengthwise opening for joining with other link. Combination mechanism is provided with retractable wedges engaging with outlet links of actuating mechanism; there are shaped longitudinal grooves in lateral sides of said wedges. Rollers are mounted on free ends of outlet links of actuating mechanism; said rollers are designed for engaging with lengthwise grooves of retractable wedges.
