FIELD: systems observing and processing data of geophysical measurements to catalogue seismic focus centers. SUBSTANCE: registration charts of electron density of ionosphere, electrostatic potential of outer surface of spacecraft induced by their flight directly through regions of ionospheric formations generated by quantization method with rate above 100 measurements/s are recorded above observation regions. Contour patterns are highlighted by methods of spatial differentiation. Morphological characteristics of synthesized image inside isolated contours are computed. Assemblage of computed characteristics is used to make judgment on belonging of isolated section of ionosphere to projection of lithosphere center of earthquake on to ionosphere.
