FIELD: radio physics. SUBSTANCE: technique can find use in national monitoring systems processing data of geophysical measurements in prediction of earthquakes. It is proposed to place meter measuring spatial waves in ionosphere on spacecraft. Envelope of spacecraft manufactured in the form of spherical capacitor is utilized in the capacity of primary transducer-converter of electron density of ionosphere to electric signal. Meter located on spacecraft allows the whole recording process to be completed during single run of spacecraft in shortened time interval with several times overtaking of spatial wave. Proximity forecast of seismic focus center is realized on map by superimposition of paths of ascending and descending turns on map and construction of beams to them in calculated points. EFFECT: increased timeliness, authenticity and stability of short-time forecasts. 4 dwg
