FIELD: nuclear industry; recovery of organic and inorganic liquid radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: method includes separation of thinner from extractant followed by thermal decomposition of extractant. Loose powdered mass produced as result of thermal decomposition of extractant is ready for long-time storage. Extractant is separated from thinner by live-steam stripping; thermal decomposition is effected at 80 140 C by mixing extractant with porous material in catalyst environment, proportion of components being as follows: 1.0 of extractant, 0.4 1.0 of porous material, and 1.5 2.0 of catalyst. EFFECT: reduced time taken to prepare loose powdered mass for long-time storage. 3 cl, 1 tbl
