FIELD: laser communications; laser communication lines on masts, high-rise buildings, or mobile objects such as space vehicles. SUBSTANCE: aggregate of components introduced in laser communication terminal and their interconnections have enabled estimation of systematic component in deviation of energy center of laser radiation spot on optical antennas of module relative to geometric center of figure formed by N 1 optical antenna modules used for reception directly in receiver plane and compensation for this error due to spatial displacement of optical antenna module (through magnitude of this error but in opposite direction) used for transmission and its use as beacon, N optical antenna modules of opposing laser communication terminal (on sending end of laser communication line) being aimed at this beacon. This has made it possible to raise power budget of two-terminal laser communication line by K times, where K > 1. EFFECT: enhanced power budget and data transmission speed. 1 cl, 1 dwg
