FIELD: biotechnology, genetic engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: plasmid represents constructed in vitro recombinant plasmid DNA comprising fragment of gene UL83 of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) encoding immunodominant moiety of phosphoprotein pp65 HCMV from 231 to 551 amino acid. Construction provides in cells of bacterium E. coli biosynthesis of recombinant protein comprising fragment pp65 HCMV and fragment of β-galactosidase E. coli with polyhistidine (6 His) motif for affinity purification that elicits antigenic properties of human cytomegalovirus. This purified recombinant protein can be used as HCMV-antigen for serological testing HCMV in clinical practice. Use of this antigen for detection of virus-specific immunoglobulins M (IgM - HCMV) shows 98- 99% of sensitivity and specificity in immunoenzyme analysis. EFFECT: valuable biological and medicinal properties of antigen. 6 dwg, 3 ex
