FIELD: biotechnology, genetic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a constructed in vitro recombinant plasmid DNA comprising fragment of gene U11 of human herpes virus of 6-th type (HHV-6) encoding an immunodominant moiety (3 antigenic epitopes) of protein tegument p100 from 494 to 842 amino acid. The construction provides the effective biosynthesis of polypeptide in cells E. coli as a fragment of p100 HHV-6 fused with β-galactosidase fragment with histidine motif (6 His) by C-end. The use of the recombinant protein purified by method of affinity chromatography in immunoenzyme analysis for detection of immunoglobulins in patient blood samples specific to HHV-6 shows the high level of sensitivity and specificity. The recombinant protein can be used as an antigen of HHV-6 in research works and serological testing of human herpes virus of type 6 in clinical practice. EFFECT: recombinant plasmid indicated above, improved method of analysis. 4 dwg, 3 ex
