SUBSTANCE: recombinant plasmid DNA has human cytomegalovirus gene UL 44 fragment that encodes immunodominant site (2 antigenic epitopes) of DNA-binding viral protein p 52 (ICP 36). Structure provides biosynthesis of polypeptide as human cytomegalovirus p 52 fragment with polyhistidine tract for affinity purification that shows antigenic properties of human cytomegalovirus. The use of obtained antigen for detection of cytomegalovirus-specific immunoglobulins M (IgM-human cytomegalovirus) in patient blood shows 98-99% of sensitivity and specificity in immunoenzyme assay. The above described plasmid structure ensures to increase synthesis of the end polypeptide by 40-40 times as compared with that in prototype.
