FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction and operation of pipelines and it serves for corrosion protection of inner surfaces of zones of pipe weld butt joints. Prior to assembling the pipes to be connected into pipeline, special device is inserted into one of pipes. Said device is essentially metal tape coiled into spiral and fixed and provided on its outer surface with spiral lining impregnated with polymeric binder. Second pipe is pushed over device and butt joint is connected with provision of designed clearance between end faces of butt jointed pipes. Articulated mounting-and-stopping unit-metal tape fixing device is placed in clearance. Fixing device is extracted, metal tape gets uncoiled and presses lining to inner surface of weld joint with overlapping of ends of inner coating of pipes.
