FIELD: construction engineering; erection and operation of pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: prior to assembly of pipes, bush which is spirally twisted and locked with tape (with heat-insulating material on its external surface) is inserted inside one of pipes. Layers of sealing materials are located at ends of said bush. Then, second pipe is moved on device and joint is made at rated clearance between ends of pipes being coupled. Tape retainer is received by this clearance. After assembly, retainer is withdrawn, tape is expanded and gets pressed to internal surface of welded joint area overlapping ends of pipe internal coat and sealing the weld seam zone.
