SUBSTANCE: discharger for overvoltage protection has axially symmetric active part housing adjusting elements positioned between two current- carrying fixtures and current-conducting axially symmetric connecting element placed between two varistor elements arranged in sequence in stack. Connecting element has at least four bearing sections uniformly distributed in circle around axis. One of two first couplers which loads connecting element and varistor elements lying on connecting element with contact effort leans against two first bearing sections. One of two second couplers which loads connecting element and varistor elements positioned under connecting element with contact effort leans against two second bearing sections.
