FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine vessels breaking ice cover by resonance flexural gravitational waves. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes exciting flexural gravitational waves in ice when ship runs at resonance speed and forming area of reduced pressure under wave trough by means of centrifugal forces created by impeller located in upper portion of ship s hull. Simultaneously area of reduced pressure is formed under ice cover by means of centrifugal forces and area of increased pressure by means of centripetal forces caused by rotation of additional impeller located in upper portion of ship s hull where crest of flexural gravitational wave is located. Change in direction of rotation of impeller is performed repeatedly and periodically at doubled frequency of resonance flexural gravitational waves; duration of direct and reverse rotation of additional impeller is equal to half-period of resonance flexural gravitational waves. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking. 2 cl, 1 dwg
