FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine vessels breaking ice cover by resonance flexural gravitational waves. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes exciting resonance flexural gravitational waves in ice when ship runs at resonance speed and creating area of reduced pressure under ice cover where trough of flexural gravitational wave is located by means of centrifugal forces caused by rotation of impeller. Area of reduced pressure is created periodically at frequency of resonance flexural gravitational waves by means of respective periodic switching on/off of impeller. Duration of switching on/off of impeller is equal to half-period of flexural gravitational waves. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking. 1 dwg
