FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine vessels breaking ice cover by resonance flexural gravitational waves. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes exciting resonance flexural gravitational waves in ice when submarine vessel runs at resonance speed and building-up area at increased pressure by means of centripetal forces caused by rotation of impeller and area at reduced pressure by means of centrifugal forces under ice; said impeller is located in area where crests of flexural gravitational waves are located. Centrifugal forces are excited by direct rotation of impeller and centripetal forces are excited by reversing direction of rotation of impeller. Change of direction of rotation of impeller is performed repeatedly at doubled frequency of resonance flexural gravitational waves. Duration of direct and opposite rotation of impeller is equal to half-period of resonance flexural gravitational waves. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking. 2 cl, 1 dwg
