SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of ice cover destruction by submarines. The invention is dealt with shipbuilding, in particular, with the underwater vessels destroying an ice cover by the resonance bending-gravity waves. The method of an ice cover destruction provides for creation of an area of a positive pressure under an vertex of a bending-gravity wave at the expense of the centripetal forces excited by an impeller, located on the upper part of the body of the underwater ship. Then impeller is periodically spun with a frequency of the resonance bending -gravity waves during a half-wavelength of these waves. The invention allows to increase efficiency of an ice cover destruction.
