FIELD: shipbuilding; ice cover destruction by submarines.

SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of ice cover destruction by submarines. The invention is dealt with shipbuilding, in particular, with the underwater vessels destroying an ice cover by the resonance bending -gravity waves. The method of an ice cover destruction by an underwater vessel provides for excitation in the ice of the resonance bending-gravity waves at motion with the resonance speed and creation of an area of a decreased pressure under the ice cover in the place of location of a trough of the bending-gravity wave by means of centrifugal forces caused by rotation of the impeller located in the upper part of the body of the underwater vessel. Simultaneously with the area of the decreased pressure under an ice cover they create an area of an increased pressure. The area of the increased pressure is formed in the location of a vertex of the bending-gravity wave using the centripetal forces caused by rotation of the impeller located in the upper part of the body of the underwater vessel. The invention allows to increase efficiency of an ice cover destruction by an underwater vessel.
