FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical technology of titanium-containing concentrates, namely sphene concentrate, with the production of composite products used as effective sorbents of radionuclides and cations of non-ferrous heavy metals. The decomposition of sphene concentrate containing titanium, silicon and calcium is carried out at a boiling point and stirring with 30-35% hydrochloric acid at a ratio of the mass of the concentrate to the volume of acid equal to T:Vl=1:2-4, with the transfer of titanium and silicon into the solid phase , and calcium - into the liquid phase. The resulting primary suspension is filtered with liquid-solid separation. The solid phase is mixed with a phosphorus-containing reagent in the form of phosphoric acid with a concentration of 25-55% H3PO4 at a molar ratio of TiO2:P2O5=1:1.5-2.5. The resulting secondary suspension is kept at 50-70°C for 1-5 hours with the precipitation of silicon-containing titanium phosphate, which is washed with water to pH 3-3.5 and subjected to heat treatment at a temperature of 50-100°C to obtain titanium-phosphate silicon-containing composition.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing the consumption of reagents and energy consumption, as well as increasing the specific surface area of the composition particles by 2.6-3.4 times, the total pore volume by 2.6-3.1 times and the sorption capacity of the composition in relation to cations: Cs by 1.2-1.3 times, Sr by 2.1-2.3 times, Co by 1.7-2.0 times.
