FIELD: data transmission in computer-based data measuring systems for monitoring and detecting radiation situation. SUBSTANCE: method includes conversion of source data incorporating dose rate values measured in the course of radiation survey, coordinates of measurement points, and measurement time moments according to given algorithm; generation of message; transmission of message over communication channel; conversion of message received according to given algorithm so as to extract source data, the latter being stored at several measurement points; dose rate values obtained are reduced to single time since moment of radiation pollution occurrence; source data related to different measurement points that include dose rates and coordinates of measurement points are submitted as continuous smooth functions, and these functions are approximated; message shaped includes approximation coefficients obtained and also initial and end points of approximation interval. EFFECT: fixes-times reduced messages transferred independent of measurement results. 1 cl, 4 dwg
