FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determining radiation environment in the vicinity of nuclear power engineering after emergency emission of radioactive substances. Essence of the invention is that is aerial radiation area survey is carried out by means of undedicated instrument, for example, with a portable gamma radiation dose rate meter having only one onboard radiation detector. Optical radiation survey along preset route on each straight section shall be carried out twice to change height of flight. This enables to obtain data implicitly containing information on the value of attenuation of gamma radiation depending on terrain clearance. Data processing enables calculation of coefficients for conversion of the radiation levels measured at the aircraft flight elevation to terrain clearance 1 m.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determination radiation environment.
