FIELD: veterinary virology, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested virus vaccine contains virus-bearing material out of attenuated strain of "BD" SRRS virus and protective medium in efficient ratios. The starin is deposited in VGNKI's collection of microorganisms under registration code of "BD-DEP". Virus is reproduced in passaged cell culture Marc-145 at biological activity being not less than 6,0 lg TCD50/cm3. To obtain protective medium one should apply (either separately or in combination) lactalbumin hydrolyzate, saccharose, gelatose, lactose, etc. Virus vaccine develops tense and prolonged immunity against epizootic SRRS virus circulating within Russian territory. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 5 ex, 5 tbl
