FIELD: veterinary virology and biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: the method is suggested to manufacture vaccine against porcine reproductive-respiratory syndrome (PRRS). It deals with infecting cell culture Marc-145 with virus-containing material out of "BD-DEP" attenuated strain of PRRS virus. Then comes incubation of infected culture, collection of virus-containing material and further addition of protective medium at 3:5-5:7 ratio. Thus, the obtained vaccine contains viral material a biological activity being not less than 6.0 Ig TCD50/cm3. The innovation broadens the number of virus vaccines against PRRS to create tense and prolonged immunity against epizootic isolates of PRRS virus cycling within Russia. The innovation could be applied in veterinary to manufacture vaccines against PRRS.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
