FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, provision for operation of electrolyzer winning aluminum. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in reduced loss of electric energy in point of contact, in raised operational reliability of unit, in reduced usage of materials for manufacture of adapter. In compliance with invention contact joint of current lead unit to cathode section of electrolyzer has aluminum current-conducting bus coming in the form of set of flexible aluminum strips and linked to blooms of cathode section of electrolyzer by means of bolt joint through adapter. Novelty of invention consists in manufacture of adapter from combination of copper, steel and aluminum. Copper layer of adapter contacts surface of bloom of cathode section of electrolyzer, set of flexible aluminum strips of current- conducting bus is linked to aluminum layer of adapter and pressing surfaces of bolt joint contact steel layer of adapter. Adapter is produced by explosion welding. Copper and aluminum layers of adapter are positioned on opposite sides of steel layer. Aluminum layer occupies part of surface of steel layer. Copper and aluminum layers can be positioned on mutually perpendicular sides of steel layer. EFFECT: raised operational reliability of unit. 3 cl, 2 dwg
