METHOD CONTROLLING OIL AND GAS PRODUCING WELL ACTIVATED BY GAS DRIVE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2220278 C2

FIELD: running of oil and gas producing wells. SUBSTANCE: well includes at least one producing string inside casing string which forms hole annulus jointly with casings that communicates over pressure gas line through control valve with source of gas under pressure. Producing string is fitted with at least one gas inlet valve and is connected to outlet pipe-line equipped with outlet nosepiece with controlled opening. When control valve and outlet nosepiece are shut method includes actuation phase including stage of start of oil and gas recovery and stage of setting of operation condition followed by operation phase. In the course of stage of start of oil and gas recovery pressure across outlet of control valve is compared with two thresholds established earlier and depending of comparison results control valve is opened to drive gas into hole annulus at preset flow rate. When upper threshold is reached nosepiece is gradually opened to certain value determined beforehand to achieve certain minimal flow rate of hydrocarbons established in advance. At stage of setting of operation condition flow rate of hydrocarbons is compared with threshold T1 determined beforehand and if this flow rate exceeds specified threshold in the course of certain time period D1 opening of nosepiece is increased to preset value and if not - comparison operation is repeated. Time interval established in advance is held till minimal flow rate of hydrocarbons is fixed, flow rate of hydrocarbons is compared with threshold T2 exceeding T1 and pressure across inlet of nosepiece with threshold P1 found earlier, and if specified flow rate and pressure steadily and simultaneously exceed both specified thresholds in the course of time period D1 actuation phase is terminated and if not - comparison operation is repeated.
