FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in the field of power engineering. According to the method simultaneously using the measuring instruments located on the support body the air temperature and relative air humidity near the wire is measured, the wire surface temperature is measured, by the measured air temperature and humidity the dew-point and desublimation point are calculated. If the wire surface temperature is less or is equal 0°C, then the wire surface temperature is compared with calculated dew-point and desublimation point, if the wire surface temperature is greater than the dew-point and desublimation point, the absence of deposits is obvious. If the wire surface temperature is greater than the desublimation point, but less or is equal to the dew-point, the formation of ice deposits is obvious if the wire surface temperature is greater than the dew-point, but less or equal to the desublimation point, the formation of hoarfrost deposits is obvious. If the wire surface temperature is less than dew-point and the desublimation point, the formation of complex deposits is obvious. The device for implementation of the offered method is also offered.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy and reliability of detection of ice, hoarfrost and complex deposits on a wire.
