FIELD: metal casting by drop forming, namely method for making hunter's lead shots. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of casting melt lead with use of heated reservoir for receiving lead drops and quenching them in double-layer cooling liquid containing mineral oil and water; according to invention casting melt lead onto spherical wall of heated reservoir with steel detachable bottom into which distributing comb is inserted. Said comb has teeth arranged in accordance with predetermined numbers of shots. Mineral oil is poured by layer equal to 4 - 5 cm. Temperature of heated reservoir is kept in range 331 - 341 C.
