FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy in casing articles from leaded bronze. Mould made from graphite is heated to 850-950°C in muffle furnace. Mould is withdrawn from furnace to fill leaded bronze melt in mould to be placed in furnace. Furnace is cut off and cooled jointly with casting to room temperature.
EFFECT: homogenised structure over cross-section, higher hardness, spheroidised lead inclusions.
