FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing patient in immobile position. Puncture point is marked on patient body. Ultrasonic transducer is set so that the central ultrasound beam passes along the straight future puncture line over the point marked on the skin and pathologic formation. Illumination device issuing narrow-directed light beam is fixed so that the beam passes along the straight line of the planned puncture corresponding to a transducer handle position producing no lateral shadows on the skin. The transducer is arranged on a body surface area neighboring the puncture place allowing one to follow needle movements on display screen. The needle is to be oriented along the light beam so that it produces point shadow and introduced through the marked point towards the pathologic formation.
