FIELD: chemical and paper-and-pulp industries. SUBSTANCE: aqueous solution of alkali metal salt containing chlorate is introduced into anode compartment of electrochemical cell 1. Cathode and anode compartments are separated by cation-exchange membrane. Part of alkaline hydrogen peroxide solution obtained in electrochemical cell 1 is collected as desired product and the other part is returned into anode compartment of electrochemical cell 1. Acidified alkali metal salt solution 22 is introduced into reactor 10 to produce chlorine dioxide. Mixture of the latter with oxygen is routed from reactor 10 to absorber 12 wherein chlorine dioxide is absorbed with water and oxygen is taken away and routed to cathode compartment of electrochemical cell 1. Exhausted reaction medium 20 from reactor 10 is introduced into electrochemical cell 11 to produce NaOH and alkali metal aqueous solution containing chlorate 21, which is returned into anode compartment. EFFECT: enabled production of hydrogen peroxide and chlorine dioxide in the same continuous process and control of alkali-to-hydrogen peroxide ratio and amount of sulfates as by-products. 13 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
