SUBSTANCE: surge arrester has pile of discharge members and terminal fittings held in axial direction by means of clamping members in the form of epoxy rods. Clamping members are automatically held in terminal fittings with aid of clamping sleeves which are fixed on clamping members in taper holes of terminal fitting due to stresses applied to them.
