METHOD "SILVER FILTRATION" FOR TREATMENT OF VODKA MIXTURE AND VODKA AND CARTRIDGE FILTER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: liqueur and vodka industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves passing vodka mixture and vodka through layer of charcoal preliminary formed and thickened by 5-20% of its the parent filling density in ratio of height to sectional area of layer as m to m² = (50-100):1. Treatment is carried out in pulsing turbulent regimen with alteration of layer volume by passing treated liquid at consumption 6-30 dal/h per 1 kg of charcoal. As active charcoal silver-containing coal is used wherein silver is impregnated to coal mass and its retention in coal is 0.05-4.0 wt.-%. Cartridge filter consists of protective and bearing perforated hollow cylinders and silver-containing charcoal disposed between them. Face covers with central holes connected with deflecting channel formed by bearing cylinder are connected hermetically. Damping filter-pieces are places on charcoal layer from inlet site and/or outlet site of liquid to be treated. Cylinders are made of sheet polymeric material providing possibility for their elastic deformation. Charcoal layer is prepared with thickening by 5-20% of it's the parent filling density. Silver is impregnated to its mass and its content is from 0.05 to 4.0 wt.-%. Invention provides the enhancement of quality treating product.
