FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: processing method that can be used for concentrating manganese carbonate ores consists in that ore containing, wt %: Ca 31-34, Mn 7.5-14, Al 2.3-2.9, Si 1.5-3, Fe 0.2-0.6, Mg 0.2-0.3, Ni 0.001, and Cr 0.002 is leached at 15-45 C and controlled reaction mixture pH value with 5-18% aqueous hydrochloric acid originated from effluent gases until pH 6.0-6.5 is attained. In that operation are leached alkali, alkali-earth, and transition group metals preceding manganese in electrolytic potential series. EFFECT: enabled production of quality manganese oxide as principal product and calcium chloride as associated product, and reused hydrochloric acid recovered from effluent gases. 2 cl, 3 tbl
