FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical enrichment of depleted manganese oxide ores, in particular ores containing manganese compounds above 7.0%, and can be used in the technology of obtaining a manganese concentrate of more than 90.0%, which can be used in metallurgy and chemical industry. The method for processing manganese oxide ores includes chemical leaching of manganese compounds with a mixture of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, and previously sulfuric acid is loaded into a reactor with crushed manganese oxide ore at a ratio of T: L = 1:3-5, into which hydrochloric and sulfuric acids are supplied in a ratio of 1:1 during mixing, manganese compounds are transferred into solution by treatment with a mixture of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids with the release of chlorine, which ensures the precipitation of manganese concentrate from the solution at pH of 8.5-10 and a temperature of 40.0-90.0°C, at the same time, the medium is corrected with lime milk, oxygen is added from the air, the manganese concentrate is filtered, washed and dried.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the extraction of manganese concentrate from ore.
