FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passive safety means. According to first design version of device aimed at decreasing traumatism at run-over, rear edge of hood, in case of run-over or hazard of run-over, is raised to roof level, taking up collision impact and cushions it irrespective of speed. To preserve forward view, hood is provided with aperture closed by glass or grid at level of driver's eyes. Hood can be made extensible or, in additional to turning, it can move upwards-rearwards as a whole. According to second design version, upper edge of windshield moves forward in case of runover or hazard of run-over and shock absorbing member, usually combined with glass shifting drive, is arranged in clearance between glass and edge of roof. Glass can be provided with additional glass (false glass) laid from outside on main windshield glass rigidly secured in body. EFFECT: improved passive safety at run-over. 6 cl, 5 dwg
