FIELD: oil industry, geophysics. SUBSTANCE: seismic waves of ultrasonic range generated in oil pool by means of cavitation phenomena in process of dynamic displacement of stratal fluid under action of gravitational forces and seismic vibrations initiated by fields of stresses and deformations in rock mass emerging with ground tides stream towards ground surface. These ultrasonic waves are received by root systems of arboreal vegetation, are transmitted over their capillaries and are recorded by sensor of piezoelectric converter. Electric signals generated by converter are converted by traditional methods to radio signals which are directed over frequency channel of satellite communication system for processing and interpretation. Radio signals are recorded at moments of maxima of ground tides and in their absence. Parameters of radio signals are employed to predict availability and capacity of oil pool. Equipment for realization of process is seismic transceiver made up of piezoelectric converter and telemetering module with output to radio signal radiator. Piezoelectric converter is positioned on cut of top or trunk of tree. Its sensitive element has direct contact with capillaries of wood. Trees at distance of hundreds and thousands of meters one from another are fitted with seismic transceivers. EFFECT: expanded field of seismic methods of prospecting, simplified processing and interpretation of results of seismic studies, increased authenticity of these results. 2 cl, 5 dwg
