FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame with horizontal teeth, U-shaped frame with front knife and two side knives. U-shaped frame is driven by hydraulic cylinders. Cutting members are made in the form of truncated four-sided pyramids and located in receptacles flush with outer and inner surfaces of carrier plates. Cutting members are connected to opposite plate by means of screws. Receptacles of one carrier plate are offset with respect to receptacles of opposite carrier plate. Ribs of bases of cutting members overlap one another and arranged in single plane. Faces of adjacent cutting members are alternatively facing opposite sides. Carrier plates are provided with beveled edges at their one side. Front wall and sides have platforms arranged at their inner side and adapted for accommodation of carrier plates. Sides tail parts have cutting edge defined by beveled edges. Cutting members are made detachable and their cutting members may be turned. EFFECT: increased service life and durability of knife, and reduced operational costs. 6 dwg
