FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame with horizontally oriented teeth, U-shaped frame with front knife and two side knives. U-shaped frame is driven by two hydraulic cylinders. Front and side knives are made in the form of plates with rounded apexes. Teeth are provided with facets arranged on outer side and slots arranged on inner side and adapted for attachment of segments oriented inward of frame. Cutting edges and apexes of segments are arranged in single plane and project beyond teeth. Front knife plate is connected to bar through ribs having T-shaped section. Side knives are connected to sides through curved ribs having T-shaped section. Ribs are made in the form of beam of equal resistance and are equipped with platforms for insertion into receptacles.
