CASTING - ROLLING AGGREGATE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely equipment for combined process of casting and rolling for making merchant rolled bars. SUBSTANCE: aggregate includes machine for continuous casting of billets, outlet roller table and apparatus for separating dummy bar, both mounted at outlet of machine; rolling mill mounted in parallel relative to machine for continuous casting of billets. Vertical guiding rollers are mounted behind apparatus for separating dummy bar along motion direction of billet. In front of rolling mill there are also mounted vertical guiding rollers opposite relative to above mentioned guiding rollers. Between said rollers lever with tong type clamp is mounted with possibility of rotation in horizontal plane. Invention provides possibility for dismatching speed values of casting and rolling processes that allows to use step rolling stands in combined aggregates.
