FIELD: tire industry. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for building tires on rigid toroidal support and subsequent curing of tire on said support in press mould. According to proposed method, tire to be machined in put on toroidal support whose form meets the form of inner surface of tire proper. Tire and toroidal support are placed in molding space of press mould and closed. Molding space is provided with walls which suit outer surface of tire. With curing done, molding of tire 7 is carried out relative to walls of molding space by delivering fluid medium under pressure to at least one space for diffusion of fluid medium formed between outer surface of toroidal support and inner surface of tire. Heat is supplied to machined tire to provide molecular linking. Tire is made directly on toroidal support. Preliminarily cured envelope is arranged on inner surface of tire. Said envelope is formed directly on toroidal support in process of preliminary making of tire proper on toroidal support. The following steps are taken in process of molding of preliminarily cured envelope: at least one layer of raw elastomer material is applied to outer surface of toroidal support and heat is supplied to elastomer layer to provide molecular linking. Special device is used to implement proposed method which provides high quality of tire, i.e. accurate sizes and structural homogeneity. Device provides accurate alignment of tire inside curing device, effective fastening of tire beads without flashes on tire caused by extrusion of elastomer at molding and curing.
