FIELD: mechanical engineering; pipeline valves and fittings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ball cocks designed for use in fresh or drinking water supply pipelines. Proposed ball cock has housing with inlet and outlet channels, two sealing rings one of which is connected with inlet channel and the other, which outlet channel, and rotating selector ball. Said ball fits both sealing rings, being provided with through hole. With selector ball in open position, said hole forms passage channel together with inlet and outlet channels. When ball is in closed positions, sealing rings enclose corresponding sealing areas on surface of selector ball. Ball is provided with at least one washing channel from outlet side. Washing channels start in passage channel and get to areas beyond the limits of at least one of sealing areas on surface of selector ball. Washing channels are made on surface of selector ball in form of grooves. Said grooves, when selector ball is in open position, are on one straight line with corresponding slots made on ends of inlet and outlet channels located from inner side of housing. EFFECT: elimination of stagnation zones in cock by washing. 3 dwg
