FIELD: devices for purification of gas emissions. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents an apparatus for purification of gases and it has to do with devices for purification of gas emissions. The apparatus for purification of gases consists of a cylindrical body, inlet and outlet branch pipes, a drop catcher, a hydraulic lock, a vane swirler and a deflector. At that inside the body there is a chamber, which together with the body, the vane swirler and the deflector forms a ring- type channel, inside which there are placed is tangentially mounted pressure nozzles, with which help pressure of the sprinkling liquid is being converted into movement of a gas-liquid mixture and into the given quantity of the granulated catalyst of the liquid-phase oxidation ensuring the necessary degree of the gas stream purification from indicated oxides. At that the volume of the grained catalytic layer makes 0.4- 0.6 of the geometric volume of the ring-type channel, and the vanes of the swirler are positioned at an angle of 10-25 dg with an intervanes space passages of less then the diameter of the catalyst grains.
