FIELD: gas scrubbing systems. SUBSTANCE: contaminated swirled gas flow is fed to cylindrical housing of gas cleaner through circular slit and gas-liquid mixture is emulsified at velocity of gas in circular slit determined by the formula. For realization of the method, use is made of gas scrubber which includes cylindrical housing with gas supply branch pipe above which emulsification initiator is coaxially mounted. Initiator is made in the form of plate member to which sprinkling liquid is fed through proportioner. Initiator forms circular slit together with wall of housing circular bladed swirler is mounted. Gas supply branch pipe is simultaneously used as tangential swirler of gas being scrubbed. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 3 dwg
