FIELD: shipbuilding; designing underwater vehicles at regulated residual buoyancy. SUBSTANCE: proposed underwater vehicle is provided with residual buoyancy control system including pump and reservoir located in outer hull. Pump is provided with intake-discharging branch pipe and reservoir is provided with sea water intake branch pipe. Internal volume of reservoir is found from the following formula: Vin = Vut-Vem.r.b, where Vin - is internal volume of reservoir located outside pressure hull, cu m; Vut - is volume of watertight parts of underwater vehicle projecting above water surface at standstill of vehicle with reservoir drained, cu m; Vem.r.b is emergency reserve of positive buoyancy in submerged position with reservoir filled with water, cu m. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of control of underwater vehicle in submerged position; reduced mass of vehicle; reduced power requirements. 1 dwg
